Great Whiteboard Explainer About a Bedwetting Alarm (Video)

Project success! We’ve completed another whiteboard explainer video. This time it’s about a wearable bedwetting alarm system called the Amigo. Most of our team members are parents and as parents we know how frustrating bedwetting can be. An insecure child, constantly changing sheets, stressful nights, bedwetting can really take its toll. When Team Rodger reached out to us to produce a custom whiteboard animation video about their wearable bedwetting alarm system, we were all ears. Here’s a short introduction to Rodger, a summary of the whiteboard animation production process and the whiteboard animation video we produced.

About Rodger:

Rodger is a company that offers multiple solutions for boys and girls suffering from bed and- daytime wetting. Rodger has a variety of products to help young children overcome this frustrating problem. Products include bedwetting alarms in combination with sensor briefs and special watches.

The client’s request:

During the production process, we worked with Mark and Elisa from Rodger. They reached out to us for a custom whiteboard animation video for their new wearable bedwetting alarm: the Amigo. The focus had to be on the use of the device and demonstrating how it helps solve bed- and daytime wetting.

The whiteboard animation production process:

A powerful script is the foundation of a good explainer video. After reviewing the details our client provided about the device, we started working on that foundation. We highlighted the problem, introduced the Amigo as the solution, explained how the system works in a few simple steps and ended the video with a call to action. Team Rodger reviewed the script, made a few tweaks and approved it.

We were all set to resume with the storyboard and decided the main characters would be a mother and her son who suffered from bedwetting. We came up with a scene showing the son wetting himself at night and his concerned mother, the mother thinking about her son using the bathroom and the son wearing the Amigo bedwetting alarm.

Here are some of our drawings:

Team Rodger liked our sketches and forwarded some additional ideas they wanted us to include. We updated the illustrations, sent it back for review and received the green light to resume with the next step.

Here are some of the finalized illustrations:

It was time to produce the voice-over, select the background track and animate the approved scenes. We chose a warm, understanding and friendly tone of voice for the voice-over and a playful background track. A few days of hard work later and the video was ready to be presented to Mark and Elisa.

They loved the outcome. Just 4 small tweaks were needed. You got it! We updated the video and forwarded it for review. Here’s what they had to say:

Great communication and service. We are satisfied with the final product.

Let’s see how it turned out:

We think we managed the capture what our client was after. What do you think of the video?
